A 46-year-old Federal Way man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide Wednesday after the driver’s vehicle left southbound State Route 167 at 7:45 p.m. and struck a tree.

The 26-year-old Sumner passenger, Michael J. McGowan, died in the crash. The driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup with injuries.
