Barbarossa honored

Stephen Barbarossa of Federal Way was recognized as salutatorian at John F. Kennedy High School’s graduation ceremonies on June 7. While at Kennedy, Stephen was a member of the Math and Knowledge Bowl teams, the National Honor Society, the Junior Classic League, Latin Honor Society and Link Crew. He also served the school community as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector for Masses. He was recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar, a Washington State Principal’s Scholar and a Washington State 34th District Scholar nominee. He was the recipient of the Kennedy Mathematics Excellence Award and the Burien-White Center Rotary Scholarship. He plans to attend Gonzaga University in the fall where he has been accepted into the Honors Program and will major in mathematics. Stephen is the son of Chris and Larry Barbarossa of Federal Way.

Tutors wanted
