Crash kills one driver on Pacific Highway South in Federal Way

The following is a report from the Federal Way Police Department:

Federal Way police responded to an two-vehicle accident at approximately 8 p.m. Nov. 18 at the 37400 block of Pacific Highway S.

A Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on Pacific Highway South when it struck a Toyota MR2 that was exiting from South 374th Street northbound onto Pacific Highway.

The driver of the Toyota died at the scene. He is a white male, approximately 50 years old.

The driver of the truck was not injured. The driver of the truck remained at the scene until officers arrived and has been cooperative throughout the investigation.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) temporarily closed the roadway north and southbound from the accident scene. The Federal Way Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the collision.
