Two wounded in shooting: At 4:20 a.m. on May 1 in the 2000 block of S. 320th St., officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found two gunshot victims. The investigation is ongoing.

Intoxicated man committed: At 6:46 a.m. on May 1 in the 1000 block of S. 312th St., a man was involuntarily committed after an officer saw the man fall into a bush and fence before urinating in public. The man was being supported by a Good Samaritan who was trying to help him walk. The officer determined he was so intoxicated that he could not care for himself, didn’t know where he lived and had no identification.

Storage facility burgled: At 7:38 a.m. on May 1 at 1120 S. 324th St., an unknown suspect cut a hole in the fence of a storage facility during the night and tried to prowl a victim’s trailer. The burglary was deemed inactive after all leads were exhausted by police with no location on the suspect.

Suicidal man committed: At 12:52 p.m. on May 1 in the 1900 block of SW Campus Drive, a male was committed after his uncle called police to report his nephew had threatened to jump off a balcony. The male told police he was having problems with his father being overseas in a hostile area, which was the cause for his suicidal thoughts. He also told police he has bipolar depression and schizophrenia and is on medication. The male’s uncle thought his nephew was a danger to himself and others as he has a history of suicide attempts including one five years prior.

Trespasser found with meth: At 5:10 p.m. on May 1 in the 31400 block of 18th Ave. S., police arrested a male who was found in a fenced-off area at a construction site. The man had a misdemeanor warrant, and police found what appeared to be methamphetamine on him during a search.

Front window shot: At 3:18 a.m. on April 30 in the 2800 block of 13th Ave. S., officers responded to a house alarm with reports of an illegal discharge of a weapon. At the residence, officers discovered the front window was damaged by an apparent bullet from an handgun.

Rock thrown at business window: At 7:03 a.m. on April 30 at 2311 SW 336th St., an employee called police to report she saw that the next-door business, Noble Spirits Federal Way, had a rock thrown through the front glass business door. The woman said it was unknown if burglars made entry into the business.

Woman wakes up in state of undress: At 3 p.m. on April 30 in the 400 block of S. 338th St., a 72-year-old woman reported she believes she was sexually fondled as she slept the night before. She told police she woke up with her right arm outside of the sleeve hole and her underwear pulled. She doesn’t know how or why it happened and that she didn’t feel as though she’d been sexually assaulted. Staff at the facility she was staying at checked her for injuries and bruises but found nothing.

Children help woman steal shoes: At 5:56 p.m. on April 30 at 2018 S. Commons, two women and two children reportedly stole $164 worth of shoes from Famous Footwear. Surveillance footage showed one child try on shoes and then place them into a bag one of the women was carrying. The woman then left the aisle and placed the empty shoeboxes onto a shelf. They left the store and never offered to pay for the concealed shoes.

Son threatens to blow up dad: At 8:23 p.m. on April 30 in the 29400 block of Military Road S., a father called police after his adult son became enraged. His father had told him to move out, and the son threatened to put a bomb in his father’s house before punching his dad in the face. The son damaged his father’s vehicle before fleeing the scene. The father said he believes his son will blow him up.

Girl sexually assaulted: At 2:39 p.m. on April 28 in the 31200 block of 18th Ave. SW, a mother reported that her 7-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted. Her daughter told a school employee that, while she was visiting her dad, a 10-year-old male inappropriately touched the girl. Child Protective Services was notified and the investigation is ongoing. Police also suspended visits to the girl’s father’s residence until the investigation is concluded.

Nine grams of drugs found on man: At 5:33 p.m. on April 28 in the 32500 block of Pacific Highway S., a male was arrested on a warrant and was found to have 2.62 grams of meth and 6.11 grams of heroin on him.

Man accused of masturbating in front of children: At 6:39 p.m. on April 28 in the 3400 block of 30th Ave. SW, two women reported a suspicious male was watching children in their neighborhood. The man, described as a heavy-set man in his 50s with glasses, had been observed parking in front of their houses and watching their girls for the past two years. They said they weren’t sure what he was doing because they couldn’t see through the windows of his truck. Officers contacted the woman who reported the incident and learned that the man had also been watching her 3- and 6-year-olds. She gave police the license plate, which returned to a vehicle owned by a man who lived a few blocks away. The officer contacted the man and “listened to a few of his blatant lies” before he told the man he knew he was watching children and suspected him of doing more. The suspect started crying and said he parked in front of the children to drink a beer and that was all. But the officer saw a washcloth/towel inside with some residue on it as he spoke to the man in his vehicle. Although the officer saw the man adjust his shorts and tuck his shirt in when he got out of his vehicle, nobody saw him watch the children as he masturbated, so the case was deemed for informational purposes only.

Two small boys found walking alone at night: At 9:35 p.m. on April 28 in the 1400 block of SW 312th St., a woman found two boys, ages 6 and 2, walking along a busy roadway. The woman followed the boys into a store and asked what they were doing. The older boy replied that he was buying candy. The woman escorted the boys back to their apartment and, seeing no one there, called 911. When police arrived, they saw the older boy standing on top of the kitchen counter while the younger one crawled around on the floor. The officer was invited in and noticed the older boy had a strong speech impediment and was difficult to understand. The officer located a phone number for the mother, who came running in at 10 p.m. exclaiming, “Where’s your father? I left you with your father when you were sleeping!” Police forwarded the case to Child Protective Services.

Middle schoolers send nude photo around: At 8:42 a.m. on April 27 at 1415 SW 314th St., several students reported to school authorities and police that there was a photo of a naked person being sent through Snapchat and text messages to students at Lakota Middle School. The photo didn’t identify the victim and it is unknown if the photo is of a student. Police are investigating.

Copper stolen from electrical box: At 12:26 p.m. on April 26 in the 33900 block of 19th Ave. SW, a witness reported that an unknown suspect had dug a 14-inch-by-16-inch concrete electrical box that protected electrical wire to the victim’s west baseball field. The suspect removed the copper wire without permission. The responding officer wasn’t able to find tire tracks, tool marks or other physical evidence.

Homeless man found in shed: At 9:44 p.m. on April 26 in the 2800 block of S. 288th St., a woman found a man in her detached storage shed when she went to take the trash out. The man was intoxicated and homeless. He told police he was “just looking for a place to sleep.” The woman declined to assist with prosecution, and the man was warned and released.
