Children ages 2 and 4 left home alone | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Unsupervised children: At 9:26 a.m. Oct. 15 at an undisclosed location on Southwest 306th Place, an anonymous complainant reported two children, approximately 2 and 4 years old, were playing outside alone. Police discovered the children’s parents left them home alone. Child Protective Services was called.

• Graffiti suspect caught: At 4:11 p.m. Oct. 14 in the 32200 block of Military Road South, security at an apartment complex detained a suspect for tagging a fence with graffiti.

• Burglar resells items: At 3:43 p.m. Oct. 14 in the 29400 block of 21st Avenue South, it was discovered that a suspect burglarized a home and then sold the stolen items at Game Lobster.

• Hit and run: At 8:51 p.m. Oct. 16 in the 32400 block of Pacific Highway South, a suspect fled from police after he or she rear-ended two vehicles, causing one to run into a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The juvenile suspect was booked for a hit and run.

• Stolen recreational vehicle: At 8:55 a.m. Oct. 16 in the 3800 block of Southwest 331st Street, a go-cart was stolen from just outside a resident’s garage.

• Counterfeit bill: At 2:38 p.m. Oct. 17 at 2300 S.W. 336th Street, a suspect attempted to pay for items at Kentucky Fried Chicken with a counterfeit $50 bill.

• Stolen equipment: At 12:33 p.m. Oct. 17 at 1066 S. 320th St., it was reported that an unknown suspect cut the fence at the school bus maintenance facility and stole a pressure washer.

• Honest citizen: At 5:54 a.m. Oct. 17 in the 100 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a citizen found a wallet. He or she turned the wallet, containing $177 in cash, into police.

• Erratic suspect: At 12:22 p.m. Oct. 18 in the 1500 block of S. 320th St., a complainant flagged down police and reported a suspect that was removing his clothing at a bus stop. The suspect appeared ‘high.’
