Boy shot during domestic shoot-out in Federal Way | Update

A 14-year-old boy was transported to Harborview Medical Center Tuesday night after being shot in the shoulder.

A 14-year-old boy was shot in his shoulder during an apparent domestic shoot-out in Federal Way on Tuesday night.

Police are searching for two suspected shooters involved in the incident that occurred in the 1800 block of S. 288th St. at around 9:24 p.m.

The boy, who suffered from a gunshot wound to his right shoulder, was transported to Harborview Medical Center and is in stable condition, said Cathy Schrock, a Federal Way police spokeswoman.

The boy and 17-year-old female suspect recently ended a relationship and both parties have made vandalism allegations against each other, Schrock said.

Police believe a 30-year-old male suspect, who is possibly from Tacoma and associated with the 17-year-old, shot the victim. The man is also suspected of firing at two other juvenile victims from Federal Way, but did not strike them, police said.

A second 24-year-old female suspect, of Federal Way, also fired a pistol at two female Federal Way victims, police believe. The female victims were also not struck.

Detectives are currently searching two SUVs they found in the intersection that are associated to this incident, re-interviewing all the alleged victims and attempting to locate the suspects.
