Bags full of white powder | Federal Way crime blotter

• White powder: At 9:10 a.m. Feb. 1 at SW 345th Place, police responded to a hazardous materials call. A paper bag containing two plastic bags full of white powder was found. The bag sat next to a series of mailboxes for about a week before someone reported it.

• Safe cracker: At 6:43 a.m. Feb. 1 in the 2000 block of South 320th Street, unknown suspects used a torch to break into a safe.

• He had a gun: At 5 p.m. Feb. 2 at 27417 Pacific Highway South, a victim was accosted in a gym parking lot by three males who demanded the victim’s wallet, driver’s license, ATM card and personal pin number. One suspect had a gun.

• Car stolen: At 6:20 p.m. Feb. 2 in the 30000 block of 8th Avenue South, a victim’s home was broken into and a vehicle in the garage was stolen.

• Guy in the street: At 9:21 p.m. Feb. 3 at 4200 S.W. 320th St., a man was found laying in the street. He told medics he thought he fell and struck his head. He was flown to Harborview Medical Center.

• Driving lesson: At 7: 21 p.m. Feb. 3 at 32000 Pacific Highway South, a driver was arrested after seen driving on the sidewalk. The driver was issued a DUI citation.

• Court threats: At 8:28 a.m. Feb. 4 at 33325 8th Ave. S., Federal Way Municipal Court personnel found written threats in the overnight drop box. The return address was that of a person believed to have a history of mental health issues.

• Fight: At 4:06 p.m. Feb. 5 at 33914 19th Ave. S.W., a suspect assaulted a victim during an after-school fight.

• Lawnmower: At 7:27 a.m. Feb. 5 in the 29800 block of 21st Avenue South, a lawnmower was stolen from a residence.

• Fight: At 10:28 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 1800 block of South 288th Street, a witness reported a fight between juveniles. The female party reported she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. She had obvious facial injuries. The male party could not be located.

• Nice shot: At 7:15 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 1000 block of Southwest 298th Street, a person reportedly accidentally shot his or her left hand when putting a gun away. The person was contacted by police at St. Francis Hospital.
