Regarding Walter Backstrom’s “I am mad as hell” article (Aug. 15):

Mr. Backstrom, don’t be discouraged by detractors. While I do not agree with all of your positions, I always look forward to your columns. Your passion for improvement is not limited to one select group. Your calls for accountability in ourselves, and in the eduction system, are something that most “thinking” people can support.

Your writings help to promote dialogue (positive or otherwise) on subjects that impact all of us. We need more motivational voices, such as yours, if we are to improve as a community. Keep up the good work.
