Federal Way Community Festival: This free community festival will come alive with the sights and sounds of one of the most diverse populations in the region as we celebrate the cultures and communities that make the City of Federal Way a vibrant place to live, work, and play from 12-4 p.m. at Town Square Park, located at 31620 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. in Federal Way.
FUSION Gala at Dumas Bay Centre: Kicking off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, this year’s gala theme is “There’s No Place Like Home” with the local housing nonprofit going all out to immerse guests in the magical world of the classic 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz.” Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $150 each. The Arts of Connection Summer Watercolor Festival 2026: Celebrate the beauty of watercolor and the joy of summer at Watercolor Fest—a free, family-friendly event where creativity flows as freely as the water! Includes arts and crafts, bounce houses, music and will happen alongside the Federal Way Farmers Market. This event will be at the Federal Way PAEC from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. While this is a free event, guests are encouraged to RSVP at fwpaec.org/events/summer-watercolor-festival-2026 to be entered into the festival’s giveaway. TAL: THE MOVEMENT at Federal Way PAEC: To celebrate the 19th anniversary of Washington Korean-American Day, enjoy this showcase of “the powerful traditions of Korean Bongsan Mask Dance, the energy of world-class B-Boying and the global phenomenon of K-POP in an original collaborative production.” Featuring SAMDONAEGI, Shorty Force (MORE VISION) and AKA (VDC Crew). Back 2 School Free Haircuts 2026 at Town Square Park: It’s that time again for Federal Way youth ages 5-18 to get some free haircuts from local stylists and barbers for the first day of school. From noon to 7 p.m., this is a first come, first serve event with no registration. A special shout-out to Bella Red Salon, Castaway Salon and all other hair styling professionals who have helped make this event possible! Located at 31600 Pete von Reichbauer Way S.

Summer Movie Series: “Wreck-It Ralph” at Federal Way PAEC: This free summer movie series is presented by the Arts Foundation Federal Way at 6 p.m. at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. Doors open one hour before the movie for arcade and video game-inspired crafts, pixel-powered fun, and hero challenges.

The Unsale at Journey Church: From 9 a.m. to noon, the Journey Church invites everyone to come shop for free: clothing, children’s books, non-electornic toys and more. Pre-filled bags of grocery items will be available for anyone who could use a little extra support. World Natural Bodybuilding Federation presents WA State Olympic Natural at Federal Way PAEC: This Drug Free Amateur Elite Fitness Competition begins at 10 a.m. and will showcase Amateur Male and Female Bodybuilding, Men’s Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Fitbody, Figure and Bikini.
