Federal Way Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from May 9 to Sept. 26 in new location at S. 316th St. between Town Square Park and the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center.

June 22 – July 31

Rosebud Teen Drama Camp: This summer’s teen show for ages 14-20 will be “The Drowsy Chaperone.” Registration is now open and placement auditions will take place on Monday, June 8.

July 4

Miles for Meso 5K Walk/Run: Start your Independence Day off by giving back through this annual memorial mesothelioma fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. starting at 876 333rd St. in Federal Way.

Red, White and Blues Festival: Enjoy live music, food vendors, and family fun all day at Celebration Park, located at 1095 S. 324th St. Federal Way. The main stage lights up at 4 p.m. with diverse performers. Don’t miss the fireworks at 10:15 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for comfort. Admission and parking are free for all.

July 7

FW City Council meeting: Federal Way City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall on the second floor in Council Chambers, 33325 8th Ave. S. in Federal Way.

July 8

Free concert – Po’okela Street Band: From 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Steel Lake Park located at 2410 S. 312th St., Federal Way, enjoy island style music that brings vibrant rhythms and feel good vibes to kick off this free summer concert series.

July 11

City-Wide Serve Day: The 12th annual service day is coming up from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Those interested in participating can register by emailing shelleypauls@gmail.com and on the day of can meet at Journey Church for prayer and team assignments, located at 701 S. 320th St. in Federal Way.

July 12

Shark in the Park: This free community event celebrates the Sixgill Shark Capital of the World with a street party, featuring live music, street food and local organizations protecting the health of our local waters from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Redondo Beach located at 28225 Redondo Beach Drive S., Des Moines.

Summer Movie Series: “Inside Out”: This free summer movie series is presented by the Arts Foundation Federal Way at 6 p.m. at the Federal Way PAEC located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. Doors open 1 hour before the movie for emotion-inspired crafts, colorful activities, and everyday hero fun.

July 15

Free concert – BroHamM: From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Steel Lake Park located at 2410 S. 312th St., Federal Way, enjoy a high energy Motown, Funk, and R&B soul band guaranteed to get you moving in this free summer concert series.

July 18

Celebrate 18 Annual Benefit Dinner: Be part of an unforgettable evening celebrating and honoring young women in our community as they transition to the next stage of their life beyond foster care at this dinner from 6 to 8 p.m.

July 19

Mending Fair with the Refugee Artisan Initiative: This free event from 1-5 p.m. will allow folks to learn how to mend their clothes and textiles. Located at Federal Way Library at 34200 1st Way S.

July 21

July 22

Free concert – Presenting Paperback Writer: From 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Steel Lake Park located at 2410 S. 312th St., Federal Way, enjoy a full Beatles experience featuring the timeless hits you know and love in this free summer concert series.

July 24

70th Annual Kiwanis Salmon Bake: This annual fundraising event raises funds for community projects benefiting local youth and will take place from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Steel Lake Park. The evening will feature a salmon dinner prepared by John Hatcher of Cafe Pacific as well as a wine and beer garden, live entertainment, silent auction and card wall. Ticket sales are open now.

July 29

Free concert – Presenting Hair Nation:From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Steel Lake Park located at 2410 S. 312th St., Federal Way, enjoy an electrifying 1980s rock tribute that closes out July with big hair and even bigger sound.

August 1

Federal Way Pride: This annual festival celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community through performances, booths, music, food trucks and more from 12 to 5 p.m. in Town Square Park in Federal Way.

August 5

Kid’s Day at Steel Lake: Inflatables, performances and entertainers, a stilt walker, concessions and games will fill the day with family fun from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Steel Lake Park located at 2410 S. 312th St. in Federal Way.

August 6

Summer Movie Series: “Despicable Me”: This free summer movie series is presented by the Arts Foundation Federal Way at 6 p.m. at the Federal Way PAEC located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. Doors open one hour before the movie for Minion-inspired crafts, silly fun, and junior hero activities.

August 8

Federal Way Community Festival: This free community festival will come alive with the sights and sounds of one of the most diverse populations in the region as we celebrate the cultures and communities that make the City of Federal Way a vibrant place to live, work, and play from 12-4 p.m. at Town Square Park, located at 31620 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. in Federal Way.

August 23

Jane Lynch & Kate Flannery: Join Emmy Award-winner Jane Lynch and the hilariously charming Kate Flannery for a raucous night of comedy, song, and unapologetic mischief in The Trouble with Angels at 5 p.m. at the Federal Way PAEC located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S.
