Pray in Federal Way on May 7 during National Day of Prayer
Published 2:15 pm Monday, May 4, 2015
With over 100 churches in the greater Federal Way area, there are occasions when people can come together with friends, neighbors and strangers to join in prayer.
May 7 is one of those occasions, set aside as the National Day of Prayer. This day is recognized as a time to gather and pray for the community and nation.
This year’s gathering will be at Applebee’s restaurant, 1801 S. 320th St., which is offering a pancake breakfast setting where people can gather about individual tables for breakfast prayer. Coach Bobby Roach has been involved over the past 20-plus years with praying for Federal Way, and he said, “There is much more to do.”
Prayer participants may drop in between 7:45-10 a.m. for table seating, while being served by members of the Federal Way community.
Reservations are encouraged; the breakfast costs $10. For more information about the event, which is hosted by Pray Federal Way, visit prayfederalway.com or email prayfederalway@gmail.com.
