DUI: At 1:31 a.m. on Pacific Highway South, an officer observed a driver swerving out of his lane of travel. After performing a traffic stop, the driver was arrested for DUI.
Assaulting police officer: At 3:20 a.m. on Southwest Dash Point Road, there was a report of an assault on a police officer.
Drugs found in bathroom: At 10:58 a.m. on Weyerhaeuser Way, officers were dispatched to retrieve a wallet and drugs. The manager found the items in an open restroom.
Neighbor throws chair: At 7:17 p.m. on Pacific Highway South, there was a report that a male threw a chair through his neighbor’s sliding glass door. The victim would not press charges, but the man who threw the chair had a warrant and was booked into jail.
Dec. 17
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Gunshot wound: At 12:34 a.m. in the 800 block of South 33rd Street, there was a report of a male with a gunshot wound.
Armed robbery: At 12:41 p.m. in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, an officer was dispatched to a robbery that occurred at a bus stop.
Illegal discharge: At 12:53 p.m. in the 28000 block of 16th Avenue South, an officer was dispatched to a call regarding an illegal discharge. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the reporting party, who stated that she heard a firearm being shot. The reporting party stated that she had pictures of the suspect with what appeared to be a firearm in his hand. Officers did an area check around where the suspect was believed to be discharging the firearms. Officers found two bullet casings, but did not find the suspect.
Juvenile shoplifting: At 4 p.m. in the 2100 block of South Commons, officers were working a shoplifting emphasis at the Commons Mall. Officers arrested a juvenile female. The juvenile assaulted a police officer and was later booked into juvenile detention for assault on a police officer.
Multiple fights at Walmart: At 8:06 p.m. in the 34000 block of 16th Avenue South, officers responded to a report of a fight at Walmart. An officer arrived, and the fighting had stopped. The officers employed by Walmart had two people detained. An officer determined that there was no domestic violence relationship between the fight, but they discovered that there were several assaults that occurred. Officers forwarded information to prosecutors.
Person hit by a car: At 11:57 a.m. in the 2200 block of South 320th Street, a man reported that he was hit by a car in the roadway. The man stated that he did not want to make a report at the time and did not want to provide any further details. He only wanted to charge his phone and would be leaving shortly after. He appeared to be injured as he limped on one leg and was slouched over. He declined all medical services.

Arguing over Pepsi: At 8:24 p.m. in the 33300 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report of a domestic dispute between two men who were arguing over a bottle of Pepsi. Officers responded, but there was no assault that occurred.
Dec. 19
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Teacher concerned about students: At 9:45 a.m. at a Federal Way high school, a teacher spoke to a resource officer and told them that the parents of a few girls spoke with the teacher and shared concerns about the girls skipping class and becoming intoxicated. The parents also had worries about the girls hanging out with older boys. No crime occurred, but the information was documented due to an ongoing concern about the girls’ behavior.
Bank parking lot robbery attempt: At 10:24 p.m. in the 32000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report of a possible armed robbery at a Chase bank. The reporting party said that she was in her vehicle and withdrew money from the ATM. The female completed her transaction and saw another vehicle pull into the parking lot. A man exited the passenger side of the vehicle and approached the reporting party with a small black firearm in his hand. The reporting party drove away as soon as she saw the man with the firearm and called 911.

Road rage: At 3:02 p.m. in the 35000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, there was a report of a road rage incident involving a firearm. However, after investigation, no probable cause was established.
Quad stolen: At 5:12 p.m. on 29th Avenue South, there was a report that someone had stolen their quad. The reporting party stated that CCTV footage at his home showed that an unknown male wearing all black entered his yard on a bicycle and stole a small motorized quad. The suspect was unknown to him, and the CCTV footage was not clear enough to make out the male’s face.
Burglary: At 6:29 p.m. in the 33600 block of 21st Avenue Southwest, there was a report of a non-residential burglary.
Dec. 21
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Burglary: At 7:01 p.m. on S. 314th Street, there was a report of a non-residential burglary. Officers set up a perimeter, but the suspect escaped.
Loaded magazine: At 6:05 p.m. on South 320th Street, there was a report that a person found a loaded magazine in the gym. Officers took possession of the magazine for safekeeping.
Abandoned Mustang: At 11:02 p.m. on First Avenue Southwest, there was a report that an officer found a blue Mustang that appeared abandoned after it was struck. The vehicle was towed, but there was not enough information to contact the car’s registered owner.
