Federal Way man dies in Adams County crash

The man was a 51-year-old male passenger.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a 51-year-old Federal Way man died in a single-car collision in Adams County.

Guillermo Martinez-Mireles, 51, of Federal Way, died in a vehicle crash at 5:51 p.m. Dec. 9 in Adams County, about 8 miles west of Ritzville, Washington, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP). One vehicle was involved, a 2006 Chevrolet Express. Martinez-Mireles was listed as a passenger in the vehicle.

According to WSP, a 38-year-old Federal Way man, the driver, survived the crash. The surviving man was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital. Both men were wearing seatbelts, and no drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.

According to WSP, the vehicle the men were in was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 near milepost 212 when it left the roadway and struck a delineator post. The driver then over-corrected, entering the median, where the vehicle rolled before coming to rest.
