Music and more highlight Federal Way Community Festival

The Federal Way Community Festival returned this year on Aug. 9 at Town Square Park.

The event began as the Flavor of Federal Way, but returned last year after a three-year pause with the new name and focus. This year it featured food trucks, vendors, representation from local organizations, bouncy houses and a wide array of performances.

The Federal Way Diversity Commission organizes the event, which is put on in partnership with the Parks Department and city event planners.

Performers this year included: His Messengers Community Choir, Amina YaQar, Trap Lab Fitness, Ballet Folklorico and Dance Yolotli, Happy Dance Studios, Spacement, Titans Taekwondo, Fil-Am Dance Troupe, Grupo Folklorico Citlali, Curves, and BP & J-Mar.
