Missing, elderly man in Federal Way found | Update

Update: Police announced at 8:55 p.m. on Wednesday that Max Guitierrez was located and is now safe at home.

Federal Way police are actively searching for a missing elderly man, who has dementia.

At 4:18 p.m. on Wednesday, 83-year-old Max Guitierrez’s daughter reported him missing from their home located in the 31200 block of 20th Ave. S. in Federal Way.

Guitierrez had gone on a walk that morning at about 9 a.m. but never returned.

According to police, he suffers from dementia and is diabetic.

He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, a blue Seahawks jacket, blue jeans and cowboy boots.

Police ask anyone who has seen Guitierrez to call 911.
