Scott Riley, a former music teacher at Twin Lakes Elementary School, has pleaded not guilty to molesting a relative when she was 5 years old.

Riley, 53, was charged with child molestation in the first degree after telling his sexual deviancy counselor in April he had touched the girl under her pajama pants when she spent the night with him five years ago.

Riley was in sexual deviancy counseling after entering a plea agreement for fourth-degree assault in December 2007. Those charges were filed because he touched an 11-year-old female student on the buttocks during class.

Previously, Riley was accused of inappropriate behavior with students at a former job in Nevada. He allegedly had sexual relations with two students and married a former student.

If found guilty of the latest charges, Riley faces a minimum sentence of 51 months.

Riley has been released on his own recognizance until his next hearing Sept. 25. He currently lives in Puyallup.
