Todd Beamer girls win district crowns

The Todd Beamer Titans took home the 4A girls championship Saturday after beating Bellermaine 47-42.

The Titans earned the No. 1 seed from District No. 3 and will play next at 6 p.m. at Puyallup High against Olympia High in the regional round of playoffs. It is a loser out game.

If Beamer wins, the team moves to the state tournament at the Tacoma Dome beginning March 5.

The Titans opened the tournament rolling over Timberline 77-20.

Todd Beamer next beat Gig Harbor 58-30 in the quarter-final round.

In the semifinals the Titans beat Kentlake 49-30.
