Community Garden Easter Egg Hunt: Free annual event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19, hosted by the Light of Christ Community Garden, 34249 21st Ave. SW. Fun for all age kids.

Protest and food collection: A local Indivisible group will lead a protest over the Trump administration from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. April 19 at the corner of South 320th Street and Pacific Highway South in Federal Way. Organizers will also be collecting nonperishable food donations to donate to the Multi-Service Center.

Village Green Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast: Meet the Easter Bunny, play outdoor games and of course hunt for Easter eggs at the Village Green’s event from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. April 19 in the Hearthside Perennial Garden located at 35419 1st Ave. S. in Federal Way. RSVP by calling 253-785-9708.

All the World’s a Stage – Earth Day Celebration: This free community event will include a bouncy house, face painting, gardening tips, local vendors and even a magic show from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 19 at the Performing Arts and Event Center, located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. in Federal Way.

Plant stewards: The Native Plant Stewardship Program educates community volunteers about the region’s native plants and plant communities, and teaches how to use this knowledge to protect and restore Washington’s natural ecosystems. Several work parties are scheduled in Federal Way. The next work party begins at 9 a.m. April 19 at the Steel Lake Annex. Visit www.wnps.org/events to learn more.

Fermin’s Great Book of Dreams: Centerstage Theatre’s newest show has a cast of characters that includes a mouse in a suit, a tired seagull, a studious cow and a sweet potato queen. The show runs 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturdays, until April 19. It is rated for general audiences and will be performed at the Knutzen Family Theatre, located at 3200 SW Dash Point Rd., Federal Way. Trouble in Mind: Centerstage Theatre presents “Trouble in Mind.” Taking place entirely in a rehearsal space in an old New York theatre, “Trouble in Mind” brings us up close and personal with a group of artists working to open a new Broadway show. Art Sip and Stroll: From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 24, enjoy art created by residents of Village Green senior living in Federal Way. Stroll throughout their gallery of art in their Fairfield building and enjoy wine and dessert along the way. Village Green is located at 35419 1st Ave. S.

Parks Appreciation Day: From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 26, pick from three sites in Federal Way to appreciate through volunteering. Site 1: Brooklake Blueberry Farm located at 726 S. 356th St., Site 2: Steel Lake Annex located at 2645 S. 312th St., Site 3: Celebration Park located at 1095 S. 324th St.

Fishing Derby: Preschool and school-age youth with special needs are invited to go fishing with family, caregivers, and friends. The pond will be stocked with fish and a limited number of fishing poles will be available to borrow if you don’t have your own gear. Lions Club members can assist and will clean and package your catch. The 21st Annual Youth With Special Needs Free Fishing Derby is coming up from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 26 at the Auburn Mill Pond located at 4582 Mill Pond Drive Southeast. Hot off the Presses: The Federal Way Mirror invites you to join the paper from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 13 at Poverty Bay Café for informal conversation, coffee, beer, wine and appetizers. You’ll be able to ask the newspaper staff about their work or talk about issues affecting the region, such as homelessness, addiction and development, all while supporting a local business and the work of nonprofit FUSION to serve families in need. Poverty Bay Café is located at 1108 S. 322nd Place in Federal Way, north of Celebration Park.

2025 Senior Health and Resource Fair: Presented by the Federal Way Senior Advisory Commission, this free event features 75 vendors and takes place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 15 at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center.

Sounds of Spring: The Federal Way Chorale will present “Sure On This Shining Night,” including a special musical tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber, at 4 p.m. May 17 at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center.
