Volunteers are needed to help paint fences and pick up litter along South 320th Street.

The City Beautification Project will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, between Sixth Avenue and 15th Avenue Southwest.

Anyone ages 13 and older is invited to help. Wear paint clothes and sturdy shoes. Snacks, water and supplies will be provided, but participants can bring their own paint brushes, rollers and water if desired.

The event takes place rain or shine; if it is too wet to paint, volunteers will clean up local parks.

Volunteers should park in the church parking lot, 700 SW 320th St.

Three years ago, volunteers painted 2,100 feet of fence along 21st Avenue Southwest.
