Federal Way Mayor Jim Ferrell, left, on Tuesday night presented Jeanne Burbidge with a Key to the City. Burbidge, who served as city councilwoman, deputy mayor and mayor, retired Dec. 31 after 20 years of service to the city. “When I thought about the type of individual we want to honor with a Key to the City, Jeanne Burbidge immediately came to mind,” Ferrell said during Tuesday’s City Council meeting. “I knew as soon as I heard she was not going to be running for re-election that we really wanted to make sure that we said thank you for her 20 years of service to this community.” Courtesy city of Federal Way
