Federal Way to host free earthquake preparedness event April 30

The city of Federal Way Emergency Management Division will provide information to help better prepare you for possible earthquakes.

The free presentation will be from 12-1 p.m. on April 30 at City Hall, 33325 Eighth Ave. S.

Topics will include the types of earthquakes and their possible impacts to the Pacific Northwest; federal, state and local planning efforts to respond and recover from earthquakes; community preparedness plans and activities; and individual preparedness considerations.
