Federal Way’s Thomas Jefferson’s math team first in state

Thomas Jefferson’s math team continued its winning ways, placing first in state on March 21 during the 22nd annual Mu Alpha Theta State Contest.

Over 50 of the hard-working students on Thomas Jefferson’s team placed in the top 10 in a variety of categories during the state competition.

Thomas Jefferson’s team was led by Orgil Batzaya, who was a four-time state champion and Daniel Kim, who placed first in three different events.
