The Todd Beamer High School girls swim team recently beat Decatur High School's team by three points.

A couple of Federal Way high school girls swim teams faced off Sept. 22 and it came down to every point and every race as Beamer defeated Decatur, 77-74.

Beamer’s biggest races included wins by Morgan Vance in the 100-meter butterfly in a time of one-minute, 28.05-seconds and the 200-meter freestyle relay team, Celena McPeak, Michelle Boyer, Miranda Busch and Vance, taking first with a time of 2:16.66.

Decatur was led by multi-event winners in K. Brockman in the 200-meter freestyle and 500-meter freestyle, M. Magruder in the 200-meter individual medley and 100-meter breaststroke and V. McNolty in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke.
