The four Federal Way school district high school football teams will take part in a jamboree-style spring game on Friday night.
Federal Way, Beamer, Decatur and Thomas Jefferson will start the festivities at 6 p.m. at Federal Way Memorial Stadium. The junior varsity for the four schools will start at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity at 7 p.m.
Admission into the spring game is the same as during the regular season and proceeds will be used by the four schools. Adults get in for $6, students with ASB cards get in for $3.
The spring game will begin with the four schools running offensive and defensive plays against each other. The teams will then head to the middle of the field for a sort of “King of the Hill” battle. Each team’s offense will start with a third-down and goal from the 5-yard line and the winning offense or defense will remain on the field.
This is the second year the schools have held the spring football jamboree at Federal Way Memorial Stadium after a successful first year.
