17-year-old male injured in shooting at Wild Waves in Federal Way

Prior to the shooting, the victim was reportedly involved in some type of altercation with a group of subjects, police said.

A 17-year-old male was injured in a shooting on Friday night in the parking lot at Wild Waves Theme Park in Federal Way.

Police responded to the shooting that happened at 10:58 p.m. just before the park closed.

Prior to the shooting, the victim was reportedly involved in some type of altercation with a group of subjects, said Federal Way police Cmdr. Kurt Schwan.

Medics treated the male at the scene and then transported him to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He is reportedly now in stable condition.

Detectives do not have any suspect information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
