Three of the top high school pitchers in Federal Way have announced a free pitching and catching clinic for Federal Way middle school girls. The clinic will take place Aug. 9.

Katie Jackson, Rocky Hale and Maddie Rogers all played in the Federal Way middle schools and local Little League teams. They want to encourage sixth-, seventh-  and eighth-grade girls to play middle school sports. All three pitchers have excelled locally and are actively pursuing college scholarships.

Katie Jackson is also a college level catcher and will be working with aspiring catchers.

They want the middle school girls to play for fun, and to be aware that there are thousands of scholarships available for female athletes.

The goal is for Federal Way schools to become the top fastpitch teams in the state. Bad weather? No worries. There will be both indoor and outdoor facilities. To register, contact (206) 730-5904 or email synergysuccessteam@live.com
