Thomas Jefferson’s boys cross country team finished in 14th place in 4A at the state cross country championships in Pasco on Nov. 7. Their average time for the team was 16:47.2.

Garrett Dahl led the way for Jefferson with a time of 16:08.1. He finished in 32nd place out of runners representing a team and 46th overall.

In the girls race, Lydia Wolfrom of Thomas Jefferson finished with a time of 20:23.2. She placed 93rd out of 141 participants.

Christian Faith School advances to state playoffs

Christian Faith School advanced to the state 1B tournament after winning the Tri-District Volleyball tournament on Saturday.

The Eagles defeated Grace Academy 3-1 in their first match, clinching a spot in the state playoffs.

Their second match was against Providence Classical Christian. It was their toughest match of the tournament as they defeated them in five sets by scores of 25-27, 18-25, 25-12, 25-20 and 15-11 in the comeback victory.

They would win the championship with a 3-1 victory over Mount Vernon Christian. The victory gives them the top seed from District 2/3 to the state playoffs.

They face Odessa-Harrington in the first round of the state playoffs at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 at the Yakima Valley SunDome.

Todd Beamer volleyball eliminated

After qualifying for the district tournament, the Todd Beamer Titans found themselves in a difficult matchup with Bellarmine Prep in the first round on Nov. 6. They were defeated 3-0 in the match. They nearly won the first set but eventually fell 26-24.

They defeated Kentridge 3-0 later in the day to keep their state playoff hopes alive.

On Nov. 7, they fell 3-1 to Tahoma, eliminating them from the playoffs. They lost the first two sets by a close margin as they fell 27-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-18.

The team finished the season with an 11-9 record.

Decatur football finishes with win

Decatur football finished the season with a 21-0 win over White River on Nov. 5. Christian Siva had a 90-yard touchdown run during the game.

The Gators finished the season 1-9.
