From the sidelines: Zamarie Tellez is the kind of athlete who leads by example—steady, focused, and constantly working to improve. Over the course of the season, he’s shown impressive growth on the track, consistently dropping his times through hard work, preparation, and discipline. Last Thursday, Zamarie set a new personal record of 11.1 seconds in the 100 meters—and he did it in less-than-ideal conditions, racing through a pouring rainstorm. It was a testament not only to his physical ability, but to his mental toughness and commitment to competing at a high level no matter the circumstances.
