From the sidelines: FWHS freshman Angel Cid-Paredes has started his season strong with a third place finish at the Auburn Invite, where his only loss of the day was a hard fought one against a returning state Top 5 placer. He followed that performance up with the fastest pin of the night against Kentridge, pinning his opponent in just 14 seconds. Angel has continued to be a freshman that is leading by example. He is always one of the first in the wrestling room and is always willing to lend a hand explaining a move to a teammate. His confident attitude about winning is infectious and many of those that have practiced with him have begun to see the benefits when they wrestle opposing teams.
