Decatur High School and TAF @ Saghalie attendee Saida Ddungu, track and field, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for May 24.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Science: chemistry.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Reading, listening to music.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Family, friends, coaches.

Q: Do you have a pre­game/competition ritual or post­game tradition, and what is it?

A: Pre-game ritual: visualize how I should perform.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Pink + White” by Frank Ocean.

From the sideline: Decatur High School and TAF @Saghalie junior Saida Ddungu is among the leaders in the North Puget Sound League in the 200 meters and a member of the 4X100 and 4X200 relay teams. Saida has excelled in the classroom earning a 3.908 cumulative grade point average in a rigorous college prep schedule. All of her classes emphasize and help make connections to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
