Residents of 21st Ave. SW have lived here since 1990. It is not a freeway; it is a residential neighborhood.

Vehicles start at 6 a.m.; sometimes they start at 5 a.m. A delivery truck comes up the street at 3 a.m. or 5 a.m. We can’t sleep in anymore because vehicles come up and others drive down.

Look what our city did to us this past year. They put up a big sign at 312th Street and 21st Avenue. It said they were coming to work on our street. Boy did they! Trucks came and dumped gravel up to our front lawns, and now weeds are growing in the gravel. Residents come and walk and ride bikes on those curbs. If they fall off in front of cars it will be the city’s fault.

Look at 336th Street and the one-way stoplight. We now have to drive one way down to Hoyt Road where there are many accidents.

We had a petition three years ago for a four-way stop at 304th and 21st. Our council stopped our petition – 26 residents had signed. There needs to be a four-way stop there at 304th and 21st Ave. SW with an exit to Dash Point Road. There should also be a stop sign coming up at the top of the beach; it’s had so many accidents.

The city put speed tables in front of homes in Federal Way and in front of homes on 21st Ave. SW. When the hundreds of vehicles drive over the speed tables, the lights and motors go into the homes. Boom! Boom! I too get the ups and downs of lights and motors in my home. Our city council and mayor do not live in this area. I guess they don’t care.

I have talked to residents of Federal Way and they are all disgusted about the mess that Federal Way is in. Just look at 312th; a whole block torn up.

We’ve gone through trucks, workers, etc.

Then look at 320th; a whole big block is torn apart. The old bus lane across from Safeway. Then down on 336th: Big apartment houses.

We didn’t get to vote for the PAEC!

Yes, we are very upset.
