Virginia Van Winkle died on February 21,2013. She was the daughter of Hugh and Eula Routh of Belfry. Virginia was born in Belfry and graduated from Belfry school. She married George Van Winkle of Bridger and settled in Seattle where they raised two daughters, Ganet Burr of Ventura, CA and Marlys Hunziker of Federal Way, WA. After her daughters were grown she entered the University of Washington and earned a degree in Education. She substituted for schools in the Highline District and taught private piano lessons. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her sister Betty Yount and brother Hugh Routh, Jr. She is survived by her daughters and one brother, Richard Routh of Las Vegas. Virginia will be interred in the Belfry cemetery.
