Michael Eugene Trout | Obituary

June 1, 1943 – January 19, 2024

Michael (Mike) Trout, 80, of Federal Way, Washington passed away on January 19th, 2024 surrounded by his three children. He was the first son of Milo Trout and Arvena (Farrell) and the husband of the late Kim Kirker Trout, to whom he was married to for 32 years.

Mike’s stories of early life were full of hard work, dedication to family, and Trout Family Picnics. After graduating from Evergreen High School and serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Air National Guard, Mike began work as a ramp agent for Western Airlines which eventually became a part of Delta Airlines dedicating 40 years to the airline industry. In 1978 he met his wife, Kim Kirker Trout and they lived an adventurous life together traveling the world, starting a small family- owned business, and caring for their children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his three children and their families. Daughter Tracey (Gene) Armstrong of Litchfield Park (AZ), daughter Becky Trout (Lauren) Fryxell of Knoxville (TN), son Brett (Alicia) Trout of Jacksonville (NC); grandchildren Zach (Megan) Armstrong, Spenser (Maddie) Armstrong, Wayne Fryxell, Hudson and Julie Trout, great grandchildren Hayden and Jordynn Armstrong; and step granddaughters Camille Claunch, and Colette Armstrong (Kelsey) Grodzicki of Suwanee (GA) and their children, Wexler and Cora. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Kim Kirker Trout, his mother, Arvena M. (Farrell), father Milo Nathan, and brother James (Jimmy T) Trout.

A graveside service will be held at West Hills Memorial Park (Yakima, WA) on Friday, April 12 2024 at 1pm, followed by a reception to Celebrate Mike’s Life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
