Edith Marcella Hall died Feb. 3. She was 78.

She settled in Federal Way in 1974 and worked in the area at McDonald’s as a hostess and at Boeing as a security guard. She recorded news and books for the blind, and she was a founding member of Solveig Lodge 31 of the Daughters of Norway.

Survivors include her children –– Linda Hall, Patrick Hall, Thomas Callahan and Donna Robinson –– six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to the scholarship fund of Solveig Lodge 31 of the Daughters of Norway.

A memorial service was conducted Feb. 23 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Burien.
