Barbara L. Meeker, born in January 1925 in Visalia, CA, to parents William H. Parker Sr. and E. Neola (Willis) Parker, passed away April 4, 2018 at the age of 93, in her home. Barbara grew up in a large family, primarily in Parkdale and Nyssa, OR. She graduated high school in Stanfield, OR.

Barbara met and married her husband Ronald Meeker of 51 years, in 1954. She worked in various jobs as a secretary and eventually becoming co-owner of Century Secretarial Service. A few years after selling her business she went to work for Weyerhaeuser in Federal Way, WA where she eventually retired.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, her parents, four brothers, Duran, Duane, Dwight and Lloyd. She is survived by her brothers Harold Parker Sr. (Darlene “Dolly”) of Kennewick, WA, William “Joe” Parker Jr. of San Gabriel, CA, sisters Ruth Kelly (Bill) of Lancaster, CA and Janice Witherspoon (Terry) of Hermiston, OR.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 5th, 11:00am, at Twin Cedars Club House located at 37301 28th Ave S, Federal Way, WA. Please come and share your memories of Barbara with her family.
