Aletha June (“Lee”) Fields, beloved mother, grandma and great-grandma, passed away at the age of 90 on June 26, 2018 in Federal Way, WA.
She will be dearly missed by her children Joanne Lynn Gore (Dean) and Leslie K Landoe (Jim), her step daughter Natalie Jane Fields, her daughter-in-law Arisara Fields, her 11 grandchildren and her 15 great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother-in-law Oscar Eager and was preceded in death by her son Skye Thomas Fields, husband of 38 years Douglas A. Fields, her sister Kathleen Eager and her parents Richard Hanley Moffitt and Myrtle Lavina (Hileman) Moffitt.
Lee was born June 5, 1928 in Portland Oregon, but grew up in Seaview, WA in a seven bedroom house which stands today. She graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1946 and then Griffin Business College in Seattle. She married Rudy Neuner in 1949 and with him welcomed the birth of two daughters: Joanne (1952) and Leslie (1954). Lee worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed modeling which led her to the Mrs. Washington pageant which she won in 1955. Her marriage to Rudy ended in 1966.
Lee married Doug A. Fields in 1967, which brought Natalie into the family. Together, Doug and Lee formed South King Realty in Federal Way, Washington. In 1969 Lee and Doug welcomed the birth of their beloved son Skye. Lee spent her time managing their real estate interests and was very active with Doug in the Valley Rose Society. After Doug’s passing in 2005 Lee devoted her time watching her family grow and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lee will be interred at Lake View Cemetery in Seattle in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marine View Presbyterian Church, 8469 East Side Dr., NE, Tacoma, WA. Messages may be left for the family at bonneywatson.com/obituaries/
