The two suspects in the Dec. 4 double shooting at Alderdale Park, near Southwest 340th Place and 26th Avenue Southwest in Federal Way, have been charged in the case.

Domanique Moore, 17, is charged as an adult of first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder. Lamonte Owens, 15, is charged with one count of first-degree attempted murder.

Moore is scheduled for arraignment Dec. 23. Owens appeared in court Dec. 11.

The shootings took place approximately 2:36 p.m. Dec. 4. Kent resident Steven R. Jackson, 19, and one Federal Way teen, 17, were hospitalized. Jackson suffered life-threatening injuries from the shots and died Tuesday. The other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Some residents near the park suspected drug deals were taking place in the area and said they have heard gunshots more often in the past five months.
