UPDATE: Missing Federal Way man, 79, found at JBLM

At about 1:30 a.m., JBLM police advised Federal Way police that Harper had been located after reportedly taking a train to the base. He was returned to the Madrona Park Assisted Living and Memory Care Center in Federal Way.

Federal Way police are asking the community to be on the lookout for an elderly Federal Way man, who has been missing since yesterday and has medical issues.

Lee J. Harper, 79, walked away from the Madrona Park Assisted Living and Memory Care Center (31200 23rd Ave. S.) sometime after 7 a.m. on Sunday. Harper suffers from dementia and takes medicine to control his seizures, and he is in need of regular medication.

Harper is described as 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. Police said they believe Harper is wearing blue jeans and brown leather shoes and say he could be wearing a baseball cap with a JBLM or other military insignia.
