• At 3:01 Aug. 16 in the 27600 block of Pacific Highway S., a woman threatened another woman with a knife while both were at an apartment complex. The suspect then left the location. Police found the knife on a bed inside the apartment. Both women were discovered to be dating the same man. Neither was injured during the incident.

• At 7:27 p.m. Aug. 16 at 35716 20th Ave. S.W., a victim was bitten by a dog that escaped a fenced enclosure.

• On Aug. 16 at 2410 S. 312th St., a juvenile reported being touched inappropriately by a male in his late teens while both were at Steel Lake Park.

• At 12:56 p.m. Aug. 14, police responded to a report of a rape. An assault kit was employed on the victim. This is an active case.

• At 3:35 p.m. Aug. 15 at 33800 1st Way S., a suspect admitted to embezzling $6,500 from an employer. The activity began in December 2007.

• At 9:59 p.m. Aug. 15 at 2400 S. 320th St., a restaurant manager reported one of the servers accepted four counterfeit $20 bills as payment.

• At 10:45 p.m. Aug. 15 at 28620 Pacific Highway S., unknown suspects drove through a parking lot and fired two gunshots from a 9-mm pistol into the air. The casings were recovered and booked into evidence. There are no leads in this case.

• At 11:14 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 32800 block of 20th Avenue South, a woman was observed laying in the street with her jeans pulled down around her knees.

• At 2:23 p.m. Aug. 14 in the 28400 block of 26th Avenue South, a victim reported he was asleep on his sofa at home when he was awakened by an intruder. The victim yelled at the suspect, who then fled out the back slider door. A K-9 track led to a neighbor’s home, but no arrests were made.

• At 2:21 p.m. Aug. 14 at 35810 16th Ave. S., a victim was traveling home when an unknown suspect approached the victim who followed that person. The suspect stated he needed to kill somebody and then tried to enter the victim’s home before making the statement a second time.

• At 5:51 p.m. Aug. 14 in the 1830 block of 286th Lane, a woman came home to find a dry wall knife and note on her front door step. The note read “watch your fingers, retard.” The victim did not feel threatened, but thought the incident was strange.

• At 11:41 p.m. Aug. 14 at 2501 S. Gateway Center, it was reported a woman left her two young children at the movie theater unattended for five hours.

• At 5:35 a.m. Aug. 13 in the 700 block of Southwest 312th Street, a victim reported he was approached by multiple suspects and assaulted. The suspects punched and kicked the victim, then stole the victim’s clothes and shoes. The victim was treated at St. Francis Hospital for a broken nose, missing teeth and multiple lacerations to the face.
