At 8:40 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 31200 block of 20th Avenue South, a victim reported a car window was broken and a bag of church literature was stolen from the car’s back seat.

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Stolen literature: At 8:40 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 31200 block of 20th Avenue South, a victim reported a car window was broken and a bag of church literature was stolen from the car’s back seat.

• Nude photos: At 4:02 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 32300 block of 7th Avenue Southwest, one subject paid another subject to pose for nude photos.

• Fraud: At 9:54 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 33600 block of 25th Place Southwest, it was reported that a debit card was fraudulently used in Massachusetts to make $1,629 in purchases.

• Counterfeit: At 6:23 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 1100 block of South 322nd Place, a complainant turned in a counterfeit $50 that was received as payment for goods.

• Residential burglary: At 5:37 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 32300 block of 7th Place South, an unknown suspect broke into a residence and stole computers and other electronic goods valued at $2,500.

• Alcohol violation: At 1:16 p.m. Feb. 1 at 2645 S. 312th St., a woman and her boyfriend were contacted at Steel Lake Park for publicly consuming alcohol. The woman had an active Federal Way theft warrant.

• Fake money at school: At 11:07 a.m. Feb. 1 at 1344 S. 308th St., kitchen staff at Star Lake Elementary reported unknowingly accepting a counterfeit $10 bill, which was later passed on to the school district’s central kitchen.

• More counterfeit: At 9:52 a.m. Feb. 1 at 35999 16th Ave. S., a complainant reported a counterfeit $20 bill was accepted by Federal Way Public Schools staff sometime on or before Jan. 18. There are no suspects.

• Threat with a weapon: At 12:42 a.m. Feb. 1 in the 31300 block of 33rd Avenue Southwest, a victim saw a suspect breaking into his brother’s car. The victim confronted the suspect, who pulled a gun and pointed it at the victim. The victim retreated into his residence.

• Stolen jewelry: At 6:51 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 29700 block of 3rd Avenue South, a victim’s residence was forcibly entered and jewelry worth $50 was stolen.
