The Goddard School opens first Federal Way location

The school serves children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old.

The Goddard School, a nationally acclaimed early childhood education franchise, recently opened its first location in Federal Way, bringing the play-based learning experience to area families.

The Goddard School of Federal Way is owned by Srishti Mittal, who has more than 10 years of experience in the early childhood education industry.

Located at 33310 1st Way South in Federal Way, the 13,265-square-foot location has 12 classrooms to serve more than 170 children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. The school includes an indoor gym, a robust disinfecting system and Openpath security system. Additionally, the school will add over 25 teaching jobs to the community.

Mittal is the daughter of Ravi and Ripu Mittal, co-owners of The Goddard School of Kent. She said she has a passion for empowering children to become confident individuals and is thrilled to open her own Goddard School.

“Goddard truly provides the best experience for children to learn, grow and have fun,” said Mittal. “I believe every child is unique and Goddard ensures students are school ready, life ready and career ready.”

The play-based learning experience offered at The Goddard School of Federal Way uses the most current, academically endorsed methods in early childhood education to teach skills children need to be successful in school and in life.

Children can explore and discover music and art, learn how to communicate using sign language and secondary languages, and develop problem solving skills through games. Targeted curriculum focused on social-emotional development teaches children life skills, such as how to be kind to themselves and to others.

The school is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
