Suspect strangles victim during sex | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Strangulation: At 6:43 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 31200 block of 1st Avenue South, a victim reported she was strangled during intercourse. She tried to break the suspect’s grip but was unsuccessful and blacked out while engaged in the act.

• Vandals: At 4:56 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 3300 block of Southwest 335th Street, a complainant reported a vacant bank-owned house was forcibly entered and vandalized.

• Counterfeit: At 12:25 p.m. Feb. 24 at 31610 Pacific Highway South, an employee reported that a suspect bought a car stereo using three $100 bills that were later discovered to be counterfeit.

• Skipping out: At 11:28 a.m. Feb. 24 at 1200 S. 324th St., it was reported that two suspects left a bar without paying their tabs.

• Shots fired: At 1:58 a.m. Feb. 24 at 32925 1st Ave. S., a suspect fired a gun into the air and yelled at two females to stop arguing. The women were arguing in a parking lot.

• Stolen purse: At 4:14 p.m. Feb. 25 at 33325 8th Ave. S., a victim came to the police station to report his or her purse and passport had been stolen somewhere in Federal Way 13 years ago.

• Fraudulent money order: At 3:06 p.m. Feb. 25 at 106 S.W. Campus Drive, a suspect attempted to cash a fraudulent $985 money order.

• Indecent exposure: At 3:34 p.m Feb. 25 at 33431 13th Place South, officers responded to a report of indecent exposure. An employee was working when a suspect exposed his genitals to her.

• Medical marijuana: At 11:00 a.m. Feb. 25 in the 36000 block of 6th Avenue Southwest, officers responded to a verbal argument between a father and son over the son’s use of medical marijuana.

• Threats: At 4:29 p.m. Feb. 27 in the 31500 block of 1st Avenue South, a victim contacted a mental health case worker to report he or she was threatened with a knife by his or her brother. When police arrived, they found the victim had self-inflicted wounds. The victim told police his or her brother threatened to harm himself with a knife if the victim did not move to another state with family.
