Suspect identified in Federal Way house party shooting

Two people were shot, one fatally, in Federal Way on Sunday.

Police responded at 4:27 a.m. to a residence in the 30800 block of 20th Avenue South. Upon arrival police found two gunshot victims inside. One was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Both victims are residents of the Renton area.

Witnesses have reported that there was a party at the house that went late into the night and that an altercation occurred in the front yard and resulted in gunfire. The victims made it into the home and the suspects fled into an unknown vehicle.

Police described those involved as all or most Hispanic males in their 20s and 30s.

Federal Way police have identified the person supspected of shooting the two victims as 20-year-old Edgar Daniel Sanchez of Federal Way. He is also known as Sharky.

Sanchez is a Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches, 260 pounds with black hair and a pock-marked face. Sanchez has been identified as the shooter by several witnesses.

He is reportedly driving a black, four-door sedan, possibly a Chrysler Sebring. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to release the name of the victim after cause of death is determined.
