Suspect arrested in Federal Way area stabbing; homicide charges expected

The King County Sheriff’s Office reported a stabbing at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at a residence in the 4800 block of S. 288th Street in unincorporated King County.

A 76-year-old victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he died about 12:15 p.m., according to the report. An argument led to the stabbing, but it is unknown what the argument was about. A 26-year-old suspect was located at a house in Federal Way a short time after the stabbing and was arrested, reports said. The suspect was staying at the victim’s house, which he did from time to time, reports said. The suspect is in jail and homicide charges are expected to be filed by Wednesday, reports said.
