The Westway neighborhood and Federal Way AmeriCorps hosted the annual SummerFest barbecue, gaming and music event June 16. Several hundred people showed up to enjoy the outdoor get-together. Children played kick-ball and hula-hooped. They got their faces painted and hair done at activity stations. AmeriCorps volunteers cooked the food.
