Store bathroom covered in feces | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Bathroom smeared: At 11:58 a.m. April 19 at 2565 S. Gateway Center Blvd., an employee at a market discovered the mirror, wall and a bathroom stall in the men’s restroom covered in feces. The substance, along with toilet paper and paper towels were also on the floor and had been walked through.

• Rape: At 12:08 p.m. April 17 in the 1300 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a victim reported she was raped at her home by someone she had previously only known through Facebook.

• Shoplift turned robbery: At 11:38 p.m. April 19 at 34520 16th Ave. S., police responded to Wal-Mart, where a suspect attempting to shoplift pulled a gun on the store’s loss prevention employee. The suspect fled in a vehicle. Another suspect was arrested.

• Dog attack: At 4:50 p.m. April 20 in the 32800 block of 20th Avenue South, a victim and his dog were attacked by a neighbor’s pit bulls that had gotten into the victim’s yard. The victim suffered bite wounds.

• Felony warrant: At 4:24 p.m. April 21 in the 1100 block of Southwest 352nd Street, a suspect was arrested on a full extradition California felony warrant. The suspect booked into jail.

• Customer skips on bill: At 4:05 p.m. April 22 at 31007 Pacific Highway S., a customer received a manicure, then left without paying for the $49 service.

• Child welfare: At 1:30 p.m. April 22 in the 2000 block of South 327th Lane, staff from an elementary school called police to request a welfare check on a child who had missed a week of school. Police responded and discovered the 8-year-old was staying in Renton. The child’s mom is in federal prison. The child’s dad is in jail and an aunt, who was caring for the child, was recently detained by immigration and awaiting possible deportation.

• Craigslist scam: At 10:08 p.m. April 23 at 178 S.W. Campus Drive, a victim reported he or she met two suspects in a parking lot near Winco. The suspects had shown an interest in purchasing a PlayStation 3, but when they met with the victim, they produced a pistol and robbed the victim, taking the victim’s wallet and the gaming console.

• Shortchanged: At 8:53 p.m. April 23 at 2001 S. Commons, a cashier was approached by a suspect asking for change. The suspect kept quickly changing the amount and the actual bills he or she was getting change for. Several bills were exchanged between the suspect and cashier, and the cashier later discovered $100 was missing.

• Domestic violence: At 12:25 p.m. April 23 in the 30800 block of 9th Place South, a victim reported her 17-year-old son kicked her in the ankle, causing pain.
