South King Fire helps hundreds of kids with food/toy drive

Citizens may drop off donations of canned food and dry goods, new unwrapped toys (no stuffed animals) or money at any South King Fire station through Dec. 21.

South King Fire and Rescue’s annual community food and toy drive is under way.

Citizens may drop off donations of canned food and dry goods, new unwrapped toys (no stuffed animals) or money at any South King Fire station through Dec. 21.

In 2011, the effort provided a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and a week’s supply of food to 130 families and presents for 450 children.

Donations of cash or checks made out to the “Community Food and Toy Drive” will also be collected. Delivery of food and toys is set for Saturday, Dec. 22. To learn more, email Gordon.Olson@southkingfire.org or visit www.southkingfire.org.
