Residents who own and occupy their home and small business or rental property owners located in the city’s northwest quadrant — the general area surrounding Mirror and Easter Lakes — are invited to an informational workshop to learn more about how they may qualify for weatherization improvements or energy-saving retrofits in their home or business.

The energy-efficiency work is part of a partnership between Federal Way and SustainableWorks. A total of 300 homes or businesses in the area — bordered by Redondo Way South and Pacific Highway South on the east, South 320th Street on the south, 21st Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dash Point Road on the west and Puget Sound on the north — will benefit from the partnership.

The workshop will run 7 to 9 p.m. March 9 at Sacajawea Middle School, 1101 S. Dash Point Road. The deadline to sign up for the program is April 30.
