Mirror staff reports:

Washington State Patrol reported a fatal accident involving a Federal Way resident that occurred at 10:15 p.m. Thursday along I-5 in SeaTac.

A semi-truck struck a pedestrian who was walking along the righthand shoulder on southbound I-5. According to the state patrol, a 53-year-old Federal Way man jumped into the lane in front of the Mack truck near South 200th Street. The driver swerved and struck the pedestrian.

The King County Medical Examiner identified the cause of death as blunt force injury, and the manner of death was suicide.
