Robbery victim roller-skates to emergency room | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

Strong arm robbery: At 1 a.m. Sept. 26 in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, a man contacted the police to report a strong arm robbery. He said he was attacked by a group of black males and had his backpack stolen after being beaten up. The victim then went to a friend’s house to tell him he was OK before roller-skating to the hospital ER.

Robbed at gunpoint: At 1:24 a.m. Sept. 24 in the 4900 block of SW 319th Lane, a woman reported that two men entered her apartment and robbed her at gunpoint, taking $1,191 in cash, an X-Box 360 and Wii video game consoles.

Skivvy runners: At 3:06 p.m. Sept. 27 in The Commons Mall, two men were caught running with their pants down in their “skivvies.” When asked why, they said they used to be in cross country and liked to keep in shape.

Black bag of crack: At 6:21 a.m. Sept. 28 in the 2000 block of South 320th St., a woman found a small black bag in front of a store which she believed contained drugs. Police found eight small bags inside with crack cocaine.

Tasered: At 4:18 p.m. Sept. 28 in the 31500 block of 1st Ave South, police went to serve a DOC warrant and a suspect was seen leaving the rear of the apartment. The suspect refused to follow verbal commands and was tasered, then taken into custody.

Bomb threat: At 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 29 at Federal Way High School, 30611 16th Ave. S., a staff member reported that someone wrote graffiti on the wall of the boys bathroom saying, “Dude, this school might blow up this Friday.”

Mailing drugs: At 3:10 p.m. Sept. 30, police responded to the Mail Copy and More, 1600 SW Dash Point Road, to the call of someone attempting to mail drugs.

Rapist: At 12:47 a.m. Oct. 1 near the 2000 block of SW Dash Point Road, a woman reported that a man grabbed her while she was walking down the road and attempted to drag her into a nearby wooded area. The woman said the suspect punched her twice in the forehead, resulting in a large raised lump. The victim said the man did not try and take anything but tried several times to raise her skirt. She fought him off and the suspect fled.

Prank calls: At 1:58 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 30000 block of 8th Avenue SW, a man reported receiving harassing phone calls for the past two weeks, all from a blocked number. On one occasion a male voice asked him if he had his “c–k in his hand.” He hung up and has not answered the phone since.

Stolen tires: Sometime between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 in the 1300 block of SW Campus Drive, an unknown suspect entered a locked garage and stole four stock wheels for a 1990 Toyota 4 Runner, valued at $1,000.

Domestic violence: At 4:29 a.m. Oct. 2 in the 33000 block of 13th Place S., a woman reported that a suspect punched her four to five times in the face after an argument, resulting in her left eye swelling. The suspect was arrested five blocks from the scene.

Multiple warrants: At 12:50 a.m. Oct. 2 in the 33000 block of 15th Avenue S., police investigated two men, one who was discovered to have had 22 Federal Way arrests in the past year and half and currently had two outstanding warrants. While the police searched the two men, they found drug paraphernalia. The second man also had a Federal Way warrant; however, he could not be booked due to a medical problem. The first man later faked an illness at the Fife jail and had to be booked at King County Jail.
